Care & Materials
Woods I Use
· Walnut — rich chocolate tones, fine grain, durable
· Cherry — warm reddish hue that deepens with age
· Maple — light, tight grain; great for boards and utensils
· White Oak — strong, visible grain; classic character
· Pine – used occasionally for painted/stained wood crafts
Every board is unique—color, figure, and grain pattern vary naturally.
Note: White oak sometimes has a natural, light stripe cross pattern that may run diagonally or perpendicular to the natural wood grain. This is part of white oak’s natural beauty (unless you don’t like the look, of course!)
Finishes
· Food‑contact pieces: finished with food‑safe oil/wax blend (e.g., mineral oil + beeswax)
· Decor pieces: finished with durable oil, varnish, or lacquer depending on the design
Care — Food‑Contact Items (e.g., serving boards)
· Hand‑wash only with mild soap; wipe dry immediately
· Never soak or put in dishwasher
· Refresh finish: apply a thin coat of food‑safe board oil/wax monthly or as needed
· Avoid extreme heat, prolonged moisture, or direct sunlight
Care — Décor Items
· Dust with a soft cloth; avoid harsh chemicals/abrasives
· Display away from direct sun and high humidity swings to minimize movement/cracking
